1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use FocusChunks, we may collect or store the following information:

  • Account data, including user ID, email address, sign-in provider, display name, and profile information you choose to provide.
  • Productivity data you create, including tasks, projects, tags, subtasks, notes, due dates, priorities, Pomodoro sessions, focus history, and report-related records.
  • Preferences and settings, including Pomodoro preferences, notification settings, date and time settings, appearance, language, and data or analytics preferences.
  • Attachments you upload to tasks, if you use this feature.
  • Local device data such as app preferences, recent search history, notification scheduling data, and similar app state.
  • Subscription and purchase metadata processed through RevenueCat and the App Store, such as product identifiers and entitlement status, to provide Premium features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the app.

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Let you sign in, sign out, and reset your password.
  • Save, sync, display, update, and delete your tasks, projects, tags, sessions, preferences, and attachments.
  • Generate productivity reports and focus history inside the app.
  • Send or schedule local notifications and reminders you enable.
  • Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and protect app security.
  • Validate subscriptions and deliver Premium features.

3. Firebase and Google Services

FocusChunks uses Firebase services provided by Google to operate core features.

  • Firebase Authentication for email/password sign-in, account sessions, password reset, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple.
  • Cloud Firestore for storing and syncing user-created app data under each authenticated user account.
  • Firebase Storage for storing task attachments uploaded by users.
  • Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple for users who choose those authentication providers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell user data. We do not use your private tasks, notes, projects, attachments, or Pomodoro history for third-party advertising.

  • We may share data only when needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or with your consent.
  • Google may process data as a service provider for Firebase and Google Sign-In according to its own terms and privacy documents.
  • RevenueCat may process purchase and entitlement data as a service provider to manage subscriptions.

5. Notifications and Local Storage

The app may request notification permission for Pomodoro alerts, task reminders, productivity updates, or weekly summaries. You can disable notifications in app settings or device settings.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account data and user-created data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. Some data may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, or provider systems where deletion is not immediate.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or a copy of your data. You may also withdraw consent for optional features such as notifications.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including Firebase security features and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please keep your account credentials safe.
